Fire Safety Training

Fire Safety Training is a legal requirement on employers this requires them to prepare an Emergency Plan that outlines how the workplace will be evacuated in the event of a fire outbreak. Fire Wardens are designated the responsibility of executing this plan in an emergency situation. This one-day course aims to inform Fire Wardens of their responsibilities in running a fire drill effectively and safety. It also details the steps involved in developing an Emergency Plan for the workplace, in the event that one does not currently exist.

Who should attend Fire Safety Training?

Anyone who has been nominated as a Fire Warden within their workplace.

Course Objectives

On completion of this programme participants will be able to safely evacuate staff from their workplace, have a basic understanding of how fires work including Fire Triangle & fire extinguishers use.

Course Programme

  • Module 1 – Fires in the workplace
  • Module 2 – Fire Safety legislation 
  • Module 3 – Protecting people & property 
  • Module 4 – Fire Risk Assessment & evacuations
  • Module 5 – The Role of the Fire Warden

English is the language in which training is delivered and participants must have a good command of the English language. If participants wish to bring an interpreter they may do so but prior notice must be given to Philip & Son Training Consultants.
